PHILOSOPHY & WORK

I've been a ceramic artist for over 40 years.  I have a studio and a gallery shop in Sag Harbor, NY.  I work almost exclusively in porcelain created on the potter's wheel.  I strive for simple shapes which serve as a canvas for carefully reproduced ancient glazes. I've also worked in wood fired, salt glazed porcelain & stoneware and I recently built a gas fired soda kiln. I'm currently exploring sanded surfaces using local sand from our beaches as well as sands from around the world. Custom orders are available
